Son of Margrave Gautier, born and raised in a territory belonging to the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. Childhood friend of Prince Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, Felix Hugo Fraldarius, and Ingrid Brandl Galatea. The second, and only Crest-bearing son of House Gautier. Has an elder brother, Miklan Gautier (deceased), who desperately wanted to be the heir to said house, and was treated as such until Sylvain's birth. Once Sylvain was revealed to bear a Crest, he was made the heir, (per House Gautier tradition/protocols). This led Miklan to turn on his younger brother with merciless teasing, harassment, and abuse.PERSONALITY
